Planned Chicago Launch — 2027

ABOUT

I grew up in the workshop.

I'm Jakub Gad — more than fifteen years across cabinetry, CNC production, millwork engineering and installation. GAD Millwork is the next step: a founder-led studio built around technical discipline and refined execution.

FROM THE FOUNDER

Jakub Gad

Founder & Principal Millwork Engineer

I practically grew up in a furniture workshop. My father built furniture — it started with children's beds and grew into a workshop of a dozen craftsmen. By fifteen I was working beside him, and I was there as we brought in our first CNC machine and moved to professional production software. We built kitchens, wardrobes, bathrooms and complete custom interiors — for homes across Poland and on projects reaching into Sweden, Belgium and Germany.

I moved to Sweden to work in high-end Scandinavian kitchen production on modern CNC and nesting lines — sharpening the technical side of the craft.

Over more than fifteen years I've done every part of this work with my own hands: measuring and verifying a room, designing the millwork inside it, preparing the parts so they leave the machine ready to fit — not to be shaved on site — finishing them, and installing them. That end-to-end control is what GAD Millwork is built on.

Built in the shop, not fixed on site.

My rule is simple: keep my word, and don't be late to an installation. I'd rather solve a problem in the workshop than on your floor — so I build as much as possible under controlled conditions and keep on-site work to a minimum. Fewer hours on site means fewer surprises, and a cleaner result.

THE STUDIO

Today I'm producing high-end kitchens and oak furniture in Sweden. GAD Millwork is the next step — a focused, founder-led studio built deliberately around engineering, controlled production and hands-on responsibility through installation. The goal is simple: keep the process clear, the details resolved and accountability close to the work.

  • Engineering-led
  • Accountable execution
  • Refined, restrained detail

Planned Chicago launch in 2027.

Chicago is a serious market for high-end residential work, with a large community and real appetite for considered craft. I'm preparing to bring GAD Millwork there in 2027 — and building relationships with the contractors, designers and architects I want to work with ahead of the move.

HOW PROJECTS WILL RUN

What the 2027 launch means for your project.

Today
GAD Millwork is in preparation. Early conversations and project planning are welcome now.
Fabrication
In GAD Millwork's own shop, opening in 2027.
Installation
By our own team.
The process
Field verification, engineering and shop drawings, your approval, fabrication with production photos, installation — and you receive the approved shop drawings.

The standard is easier to see than to describe.

Let's build the relationship before the project.
